Evil Legislators and Justices

Philadelphia State Representative, Brian Sims, said. “I implored you then as I do now — as an attorney, as a civil rights advocate, and as a legislator that has sworn to uphold the Constitution and not the Bible or any other religious document — to see this legislation for what it actually is, an end around the U.S. Supreme Court and the Constitution that is beneath this body.”

Justice Breyer wrote: "the surgical-center requirement, like the admitting privileges requirement, provides few, if any, health benefits for women, poses a substantial obstacle to women seeking abortions and constitutes an 'undue burden' on their constitutional right to do so."

Between these two articles, I am SO ANGRY AT MY GOVERNMENT!!  Legislators and Justices are VIOLATING the Constitution and suggesting that they are actually champions of it.  Unlike what I’ve done below in providing specific reference to what the Constitution actually says, NOT ONCE do either the legislator or the justice provide any reference to any part of the Constitution to substantiate their claim that they are upholding the Constitution in their stance. NOT ONCE!


NOWHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION – NOWHERE - is there a right to murder an unborn child.  Here’s what the Constitution actually says:

In the 5th Amendment: “No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;

In the 14th Amendment: “nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

There is a complete disconnect between taking an innocent life and a “medical decision.”  I have no problem with people making a “medical decision” for themselves.  HOWEVER, abortion involves another human being, the one which exists within the womb.

There is one Amendment to the Constitution that I fully support and that’s a “Personhood” Amendment.

You see?  The Declaration of Independence recognized “THAT ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL.”  Sadly, there was a legal loophole that allowed certain human beings to be treated as less than a whole person.  THAT WAS WRONG!!  Today, we have the same situation with the unborn, there is a legal loophole that allows certain human beings to be killed, because they being treated as not being a person at all, until they escape the womb unscathed.

Just like the Amendment that eliminated blacks from being treated as less than a whole person, entitled to the fullest protection of the law and the Constitution, I believe we need another amendment that defines a human being as a person from conception until natural death, granting the unborn as well as the living the fullest protection of the law and the Constitution.

 

PEOPLE QUIT ELECTING people to office who have no clue as to what our Constitution says and means.

 

P.S.  Please note, while Representative Sims tries to tie religion in with this, I’ve not once mentioned anything to do with religion.  LIFE IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

But of course, as the Declaration of Independence so eloquently states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creatorwith certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
